CINCINNATI – A University of Cincinnati student faces serious charges after he fled from a routine traffic stop, according to Cincinnati police.
A Hamilton County judge set a $50,000 bond for 20-year-old Joseph Worrall after police say the college student tried to strike a police officer with his car.
Officers tried to pull Worrall over just off Ruther Avenue Friday afternoon in Clifton when the incident occurred. When it appeared Worrall stopped officers exited their cruiser and that is when the student again took off.
He led cops on a high speed chase down Clifton Avenue.
Worrall was eventually apprehended and taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center on a charge of felony assault and obstruction of justice.
