CINCINNATI -- Fiona, the widely-adored premature baby hippo recently born at the Cincinnati Zoo, was celebrating her first National Hippo Day Wednesday.
Little Fiona has had a rough couple of days as she's teething, the zoo announced in its latest update on her.
Fiona hasn't been taking her bottle well, possibly due to the teething, and hasn't been gaining weight like she did last week, according to the zoo.
To help Fiona get through the tough time, her care team has been giving her topical numbing solution and frozen cloths.

Fiona has made some big steps forward recently, including her first steps since she became strong enough to stand on her own. She also graduated to the "big kid" poollast week as she continues to gain strength, coordination and size.
