CINCINNATI – An 18-year-old spent the evening in jail after a confrontation aboard a Metro bus on the campus of the University of Cincinnati police say was fueled by alcohol.
Virginia Hollatz is accused of assaulting a passenger on a bus that stopped on UC’s campus about 10:30 p.m. Friday, police stated. The passenger, along with the passenger's mother, exited the bus and alerted nearby police to the situation.
When confronted by officers about her actions, Hollatz punched one officer in the eye, bruised another’s triceps, and spit on people around her.
Police arrested Hollatz for underage consumption and harassment by inmate with a bodily substance.
She was set to appear in Hamilton County court at 9 a.m. Saturday.
