CINCINNATI - An 18-year-old is in critical condition Friday after an overnight crash in Pleasant Ridge.

Police say the crash happened at about 12:15 a.m. in the 5500 block of Montgomery Road.

Joe Singleton, 40, was driving south in a 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup truck when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole, according to officials.

Singleton sustained minor injuries and is in stable condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Police say Rebecca Singleton, 18, was the passenger in the pickup truck and sustained life-threatening injuries. She was also taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where she is listed in critical condition. She was not wearing her seatbelt, according to officials.

Police believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
