CINCINNATI – Developer Buckingham Companies will break ground in May for a new 272-unit apartment complex in the heart of Oakley.
The new complex will consist of seven three-story buildings with a mix of flat roofs, along with brick and stone facades, according to the developers.
“We welcome Buckingham Companies into the wonderful community of businesses in Oakley,” said Craig Rozen, president of Oakley Community Council. “We look forward to this development as a crucial and exciting addition that will foster increased livability, walkability and residency within our neighborhood.”
Buckingham will also pursue LEED for Home certifications that include enhanced insulation, energy-efficient HVAC systems, thermal insulated windows and doors, and landscape design that require low water usage.
Once open the complex will have one to three bedroom units and an amenity center that includes a living room, theater, game room and on-site fitness center.
The development located between Madison, Cardiff and Ridge avenues will also have a pedestrian bridge between Oakley Station and downtown Oakley.
“We’re thrilled to begin work in Oakley, and we look forward to joining this great neighborhood,” said John Cumming, senior vice president of development operations for Buckingham Companies. “We are grateful for the Oakley Community Council’s vision, and we’re committed to providing a great space that complements Oakley’s character and charm.”
