MADISONVILLE, Ohio - Everything from open green space to mini golf courses is being proposed for possible development over Fort Washington Way.

On Wednesday evening, about 15 people presented their ideas for the project during a hearing at the Madisonville Community Center.

The road was designed so a deck could be put over the highway so buildings, parks and other features can be put there.

"I think the most important thing is to have a food store downtown so all the people who live on 7th and Race now can walk to the food store," said Madisonville resident Walter Cash Jr.

"Whether this site works best for that or not, it physically could accommodate it in terms of the size of a building like that," Project Advisor Mark McKillip said.

The platform over Fort Washington Way would stretch from Main Street to Elm Street.

You can still add your thoughts about what should be done with the space on the website         www.cincinnati-oh.gov    /connecttheblocks ..

The next public session is being held on Oct. 9 at the main branch of the public library.
