CINCINNATI -- A man and an older woman were hospitalized after being shot in the parking lot of a Hartwell apartment complex.
The shooting happened just before 12:30 p.m., in the Williamsburg Apartments at 7405 Constitution Drive.
A 27-year-old man, identified as Quentin Heard, told police he was shot outside his vehicle, according to officer Robert Nelson of the Cincinnati Police Department. Heard suffered two gunshot wounds, one to his back and one to his arm.
A second victim, 67-year-old Marie Jones was struck in her knee by a stray bullet that went through a wall, Nelson said. She was inside her home at the time, so she didn't see what the suspect looked like.
The shooter ran from the complex immediately after firing the gunshots.
Heard and Jones were both taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
