CINCINNATI - The bright red Toyota Tundra that has been prominently displayed in the outfield at Great American Ball Park during the Cincinnati Reds' 2012 season now has a new home.

Representatives from Toyota and the Reds donated the pickup truck to the Greater Cincinnati-Dayton Region of the American Red Cross on Monday.

"It comes at a special time for us because our thoughts and our prayers with the people facing Hurricane Sandy in the East," said Trish Smitson, CEO for the American Red Cross. "This adds to our fleet of disaster preparedness vehicles and gives us a greater ability to respond to disasters and to help our people that need assistance."

Last year, the Warren County Sheriff's Office was the lucky winner, and in 2010 the Florence Fire Department received a truck.

"We hope every year somebody hits the sign in the outfield and some lucky fan that registers at a Toyota dealer will win but that has not happened," said Bill Reinberger, vice president of corporate sales for the Cincinnati Reds.
