A teenager accused of trying to sexually assault several women downtown was denied bail at a hearing Thursday.
He is expected to go to trial in juvenile court Aug. 7 at 9 a.m.
Court officials said the 15-year-old faces seven charges including two counts of attempted rape, one count of kidnapping, two counts of gross sexual imposition, one count of attempted gross sexual imposition and one count of public indecency.
Cincinnati police said they arrested the teen after they say he exposed himself to an undercover officer.
Investigators said the teen tried to sexually assault four different women near Seventh and Walnut streets over the past few weeks.
Officers said those incidents happened between 1 and 3 a.m. while the women were walking alone in a somewhat secluded area.
The women managed to fight him off and escape to get help. Police said the teen lived on Walnut Street.
The teen's attorney said his client is not guilty. His parents told in an earlier hearing the judge he's a good kid who has never been in trouble.
During Thursday's hearing, a motion was filed by the teen's defense for closure and also to suppress a statement he made.
