Interview with Litsa Spanos for The Scar Project
CINCINNATI - There is a new exhibition that takes a revealing look at breast cancer survivors.
"The Scar Project" will make its Cincinnati premiere this week at Art Design Consultant Gallery downtown.
The graphic photos reveal the scars some women have after their breast cancer surgery and treatment.
There is a photo of a woman who reveals what her body looks like after a breast is removed.
Another photo shows a woman with two children by her side. One of the children lost their mother to breast cancer.
Litsa Spanos, owner of Art Design Consultants Gallery, says the images tell real stories of cancer survivors.
"The Scar Project" exhibition is Thursday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 2.
It's at 310 Culvert Street on the fifth floor.
Ticket prices range from $10 to $15.
You can contact the gallery at (513) 723-1222 for additional information.
