Presidential debate parties scheduled for Tri-State

CINCINNATI - Families around the country will tune in for the first of three presidential debates Wednesday night.

Mitt Romney's campaign has scheduled 336 debate watch parties across 12 states including 37 in Ohio.

The Cincinnati party starts at 6 p.m. at the Westwood Victory Center at 2300 Montana Avenue in Suite 420.

Meanwhile Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory is hosting a watch party in support of President Barack Obama at the College Hill campaign office beginning at 8 p.m. at 5846 Hamilton Avenue.

Northern Kentucky University is hosting what could be a very interactive debate-viewing session Wednesday night as well.

The public is invited to the session at Griffin Hall to watch the Presidential Debate between President Obama and Governor Mitt Romney and interact with real-time questions and discussion.

The session is being moderated by Professor Steven Weiss from NKU.

Weiss tells 9 News he anticipates a very lively discussion similar to supporters for two football teams sitting next to each other in the stands during a game.

A similar event will be held for the Vice Presidential Debate.

The debate starts at 9 p.m. live from Denver and can be seen right here on WCPO.com and Channel 9. For more information about the debate, go to http://www.wcpo.com/dpp/news/political/1st-presidential-debate-what-to-expect .
