Moerlein Lager House to be a tribute to Cincinnati's beer history

CINCINNATI - The people behind the Christian Moerlein Lager House inCincinnati showed off their plans Tuesday. It will be one of thecornerstones of the 45-acre Riverfront Park Development anddevelopers say they want to open in August of 2011.
The Lager House will seat more than 1,000 people and feature anon-site brewery, a restaurant and an outdoor beer garden. Windowsthroughout the building will provide views of Great AmericanBallpark, Paul Brown Stadium, the Ohio River and the multiplebridges that cross the river.
The developers plan on naming the individual rooms in thebuilding after the various breweries that are a part of theCincinnati's beer history. They include Schoenling, Hudepohl,Burger, John Hauck and Windisch-Mulhauser.
Construction on the project is scheduled to begin in thefall.
