CINCINNATI - Some new changes may be coming to your bus route.
Metro announced Tuesday that it is planning to implement some short-term improvements to be more efficient and make things easier for riders.
The changes include a new, limited-stop service call "Metro*Plus" that will connect the Montgomery Road corridor to Uptown and downtown.
The changes also include more service options in major corridors such as Glenway, Winton, Vine and Reading.
There will also be more crosstown services to reduce downtown transfers. Metro will also be streamlining several routes to create shorter travel times.
Those improvements should be implemented between August 2013 and December 2013.
"Last year, we listened to the community's suggestions and, as a result, are proposing a number of service changes to better meet our customers' needs and attract new riders," says Terry Garcia Crews, Metro CEO & General Manager. "We're ready to go forward with improvements that will make Metro more efficient, more convenient, and easier to ride."
The service will be holding a public meeting to discuss the proposed changes on May 1.
