Largest artifacts in "Cleopatra" exhibit arrive

CINCINNATI - Pieces of Egyptian history began moving into the Tri-StateFriday morning.

Two of the largest artifacts in "Cleopatra" exhibit are now atthe Cincinnati Museum Center..

Carved from red granite, the Colossal King and Queen statuesrepresent rulers from the Ptolemaic era. The king is more than 16feet tall and weighs five and a half tons. The Queen is almost 16feet tall and weighs four tons. The pair was pulled out of theMediterranean Sea near Alexandria in 2000.

The exhibit opens to the public Feb. 18 through Sept. 5, 2011.It will then travel to three other American cities.
