Ice rink opens up on Fountain Square, will be open on Thanksgiving

CINCINNATI - Looking for some winter fun? Fountain Square is now covered in a7,000 square foot ice skating rink.

The U.S. Bank Ice Rink and 3CDC officially opened the rink forits fourth season on Wednesday. It will be open for skating untilFebruary 20, including Thanksgiving.

The cost to skate is $3 per person and $3 for skate rental.Skaters may bring their own skates.

The rink will celebrate its first night open with an eventcalled Rock-N-Skate from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., where guests canskate to live music and enjoy drinks. The Naked Karate Girls bandwill play at 6 p.m.

The rink will be open from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. onThanksgiving.

The rink can comfortably hold 225 skaters and is similar in sizeto the ice rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City.
