CINCINNATI - Cincinnati's new downtown casino is still seeking qualified applicants for its ongoing push to hire Tri-State employees.

Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati is still seeking applicants for several culinary, finance, marketing and guest services roles for the casino located at 1000 Broadway Street. More than 30 job descriptions are posted on the casino's website as of Tuesday morning.

Recruiters are specifically seeking fine-dining and culinary leaders to oversee the property's new high-end steakhouse as well as its 33,000 square-foot meeting and event space. Candidates with restaurant management, host and banquet experience are encouraged to apply.

Since Nov. 1, the casino has received more than 1,200 applications for about 400 positions. The 400 jobs are just part of the casino's initiative to hire people to fill about 1,700 positions.

Its first phase of hiring included staffing about 750 dealers for table games and supervisor positions. Additional phases of recruiting will be announced later in the year and will include non-gaming and food and beverage positions as well as management and administrative jobs.

Cincinnati Horseshoe Casino is set to open in spring 2013.
