CINCINNATI --  The Home Ownership Center is hosting a foreclosure prevention phone-a-thon to help homeowners facing foreclosures in the Tri-State.

The BUZZ Us Foreclosure Prevention Phone-a-Thon starts this Wednesday, Oct. 9 and runs through Thursday, Oct. 10 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Ohio and Indiana were awarded nearly $1 billion from the US Department of Treasury to help struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure. The program helps homeowners avoid foreclosure, including homeowners who have had difficulty enrolling in existing foreclosure prevention programs.

Homeowners in the region can call 877-7BUZZUS (877-728-9987) for information on how to save their homes.

Callers will be scheduled to meet with certified homeownership counselors to help them apply for funds and assistance with foreclosure alternatives.
