CINCINNATI - Calling all big boys! Thursday, May 3, is Frisch's Restaurants' Founders Day.
What does that mean for you? It could mean a free meal. If you visit one of the area Frisch's dressed as Big Boy Thursday, you'll get a free Big Boy Sandwich. The offer is only valid for dine-in customers on May 3 only.
Frisch's President and CEO Craig Maier says he wants everyone to experience the Frisch's Founders Day celebration.
"My grandfather would have loved the humor of this day. It's about having fun," Maier said.
Frisch's founding father was born in Cincinnati on May 3, 1902. In 1939, David Frisch opened The Mainliner, the first year round drive-in restaurant in the Cincinnati area.
Nine years later, he opened the first Frisch's Big Boy on Central Parkway.
Thursday, customers can make their own costumes or download a free printable costume at www.frischs.com .
If you stop into one of the Tri-State Frisch's Big Boy Thursday, keep your eyes peeled for 9 News Traffic Reporter Adam Marshall. Even he can't resist the offer of a free Big Boy Sandwich.
