CINCINNATI -- A man charged with murder for a fatal shooting in Mount Airy six months ago is being held on $1 million bond.
Prosecutors asked for a high bond Saturday for 22-year-old Demetrius Dennis, saying Dennis’ alleged victim was an innocent bystander.
Police say Dennis killed Cedrick Taylor, 42, at the Providence Point apartments in the 5800 block of Renee Court about 6 p.m. on April 8.
Taylor was shot in the abdomen and found in front of the apartment building, according to police.
Dennis was arrested Friday by the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Unit.
