CINCINNATI -- Police say an armed robber is targeting victims in the Clifton Heights, University Heights and Fairview area, then making them give him a ride.

The robber takes money from victims at gunpoint, then makes them drive him to the Postal Family Credit Union on Eighth Street to withdraw more money, according to police. The robber makes victims drop him off at or near the corner of Winchell and Wade Walk.

This has happened seven times since mid-October, according to police reports.

Det. Frank Palmisano from Cincinnati police's District 5 released a sketch of the suspect Thursday. During past incidents, the robber has worn a black hoodie, black pants, knit gloves and a black mask or scarf, he said. The robber is in his 20s or 30s and about 5-feet, 9-inches to 6 feet tall.

"All of the victims describe the suspect as well-spoken and very calm throughout the offense," Palmisano said.

The first incident was reported on Oct. 19, Palmisano said. The most recent was reported on Nov. 27. In the last incident, the robber got away with $500.
