Cincinnati police say a man with a knife approached the victim about 11 a.m. on Martin Luther King Drive near the UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) and demanded money.
When the victim refused, he sustained "lacerations" on his hands but was able to escape, according to a release from the UC Police Department.
Police did not indicate whether or not the victim is a student. They also didn't release information about the severity of the victim's wounds.
A detailed description of the suspect was not released.
