CINCINNATI -- Police say they have arrested Amber Wright after she was caught stealing from a home in Carthage.
The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. in the 200 block of West 69th Street, according to officers.
Investigators say Wright, 24, opened a window at the residence, climbed through and started stealing items from the home.
She ran from the scene when the family of four living at the residence came down the stairs and witnessed the crime, according to police.
Officers say the family gave them a description of the suspect and she was found nearby on a stranger’s porch.
A K-9 officer tracked her scent to multiple residences, according to police. They believe she may have tried to break into those homes.
Wright was apprehended and the family has positively identified her as the person stealing from their home.
She is now being investigated for similar offenses throughout the Carthage area.
