CINCINNATI -- The driver of a motorcycle was killed Thursday after he collided with an SUV in Avondale.
The accident happened at about 3:45 p.m. in the 3600 block of Reading Road, according to Lt. Bruce Hoffbauer of the Cincinnati Police Department.
Hoffbauer said 44-year-old Timothy Davis was driving a 2003 Suzuki GX8750 motorcycle northbound on Reading Road. Davis was struck by a 2010 Jeep Liberty as its driver tried to make a left turn into a parking lot.
Fire crews took Davis to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash. Investigators say he wore no helmet when the crash happened.
Driving the Jeep was 77-year-old Marie Willingham. She was wearing a seatbelt, and was not hurt. It was unclear Thursday night if she would face charges.
All lanes of Reading Road reopened in both directions at about 6:30 p.m.
The Cincinnati Police Traffic Unit will investigate the crash further. Officers ask any witnesses to call (513) 352-2514.
