CINCINNATI – Two residential fires just blocks away blocks kept Cincinnati firefighters busy in Avondale Sunday morning. The first fire started inside an apartment in the 600 block of Forest Avenue. No one was injured.
While there, firefighters spotted smoke coming from a home several streets away in the 3400 block of Harvey Avenue. "We pulled up to see heavy fire in the first and second floor front of the building. It's a large three-story," District Chief Mike Zimmerman said.
"We weren't sure if it was occupied at the time but companies did get in and did a primary search throughout the building to make sure it was clear."
Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of each fire.
