Avondale - Hundreds of Avondale residents were full of cheer Tuesday night, after a free holiday dinner.

District Four Cincinnati Police, along with assistance from the Associate Police Captains, Youth Services Section, the Church of the Resurrection Soup Kitchen, and members of the Varsity and Junior Varsity Walnut Hills Ladies Basketball Teams, coordinated their efforts to give local residents a Thanksgiving dinner

More than 100 people showed up within the first hour.

Officers say the dinner is a way to thank the community for all the help they've give Police this year.
