CINCINNATI -- The 20th Century theater will host a benefit for the Shai Project on Friday.
The Shai Project is a mission devoted to saving lives by raising awareness to the consequences of texting while driving.
Shai, 17, was a high school junior who was at the top of her class and had a bright future ahead of her. On the evening of May 6, 2011, she was involved in a single-car crash which resulted in a coma. Shai was on life-support for three days before her family made the heartbreaking decision to end her life.
She was texing-and-driving, which ultimately resulted in her death.
The 20th Century Theater in Oakley Square will host a "Live stand up comedy night" on Friday at 7:30 p.m. to benefit the project. Comedians like Josh Sneed, Michael Flannery and Steve Caminiti who have appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will be headlining the event.
Tickets for the event start at $15. Call 513-731-8000 to reserve tickets.
