Tom Bremmes taught math for three decades at two middle schools in Cincinnati.
BLUE ASH, Ohio -- A big send off Monday was a Blue Ash teacher's way of giving thanks and saying farewell to his students after three decades of math instruction.
Tom Bemmes taught math at Sycamore and Lakota middle schools. He threw a retirement party at a park in Blue Ash, where up to 6,000 students could come out and celebrate.
"I know that I learned as much from the students as I taught them, and I learned more from the staff than I could teach them," Bemmes said. "So I wanted an opportunity to say thank you to everybody."
Watch the video player above to see former colleagues and students wish Bemmes well at his last hurrah - which included a little magic.
