Armed robber holds up Batavia Road Speedway

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is searching for a stocky white male who held up the Speedway convenience store around 9:30 p.m. Sunday at 5030 Batavia Rd.

The suspect demanded money from a store employee, wielding a black, semi-automatic handgun. Sheriff's reports state the employee complied and placed an undetermined amount of cash in the suspect's bag before the man fled eastbound from the store on foot. There were no injuries.

A canine assisted with the search, but the suspect was not located. 

The suspect is described as a white male between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a black beanie hat and a winter scarf over his face.
