Frontier Airlines expanding CVG flights to New Jersey's Trenton-Mercer Airport

CINCINNATI – Frontier Airlines will soon expand its services at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG), the airline announced Wednesday.

Frontier will begin offering nonstop service to Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing, N.J., on Feb. 12, 2014. As part of the expansion, fares for the flights will be $39 each way through Oct. 20, 2013.

Frontier is the only airline at CVG that provides scheduled service out of Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN), the gateway to New Jersey’s state capital, all of central New Jersey and Southeast Pennsylvania, including metro Philadelphia.

“This is a great day for consumers as we bring a new low-fare, convenient option for residents in the Cincinnati to fly to the east coast,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial. “Customers who fly from Trenton-Mercer Airport can enjoy a newly upgraded airport with fewer hassles and convenient parking compared with other airports in the region.”

All Frontier flights to Trenton/Princeton will operate on a 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft, which offers five rows of "stretch" seating with an additional six inches of legroom, the airline said.
