CINCINNATI - A free legal clinic for anti-trafficking organizations will be hosted by the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center Wednesday.
This is the first clinic of its kind for the Freedom Center with volunteers from Procter & Gamble, LexisNexis and Dinsmore & Shohl.
"Most nonprofits working to combat human trafficking and serve its victims are small organizations, without regular access to legal counsel," said Luke Blocher, director of national strategic initiatives for the Freedom Center. "We will have attorneys and law clerks available to help identify some of these organizations' needs in areas like governance, intellectual property, and employment. We then will work to connect the organizations with legal help to resolve their issues. This help can let these organizations focus on what they do best: serving victims and combating trafficking."
The event will run from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
