CINCINNATI - A local logistics company is hiring hundreds of employees Tuesday at its Cincinnati airport hub.
DHL Express is holding a hiring fair to employ nearly 100 immediate positions and another 200 jobs available with starts dates before the end of November. The hiring fair will be held on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn located off I-275 at the Mineola Pike exit.
On-site interviews and job offers will be made to fill the 100 immediate positions available.
The company said the hiring fair is a direct result of the $47 million DHL expansion investment at CVG that DHL announced in the spring. The 193,000 square foot addition is scheduled to be completed in early November.
"DHL's expansion at CVG is highly appreciated by Northern Kentucky's community leaders," stated Boone County Judge Executive Gary Moore and Chairman of the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation in a news release. "We applaud DHL on the provision of a world-class logistics hub here in Northern Kentucky and look forward to a successful Job Fair for DHL's newest facility at CVG. We are pleased to be a partner with DHL during its continued growth."
With this current expansion, DHL Express will have invested $105 million in its CVG hub since establishing its U.S. international hub at the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky airport in 2009. Staffing has also grown, from 1,600 in late 2009 to approximately 2,000 currently. It is scheduled to expand to nearly 2,300 over the next four months.
