Curbside collection of yard waste suspended

CINCINNATI - Cincinnati residents will need to find another way to dispose ofyard waste beginning Jan. 17.

The city is suspending all curbside pickup of yard waste, butregular garbage pickup will not be affected.

Officials urge residents and business owners to find other waysto get rid of the waste. One way is to utilize waste drop-off sitesacross Hamilton County.

When possible, the waste could also be used as mulch or put intoa compost.

Below is a list of drop-off sites:

West Fork Solid Waste Facility

3320Mill Creek Road, South Cumminsville, For Cincinnati residentsonly.
Accessible off Spring Grove Avenue and off Beekman Street.Open year-round Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.(excluding holidays)

Bzak Landscaping

3295Turpin Lane (off Rt. 32), Anderson Township
Jan. 8 and Jan. 15, 2011, from noon until 3 p.m.
Opening again in Spring.

Kuliga Park

6717Bridgetown Road, Green Township
Jan. 8 and Jan. 15, 2011, from noon until 3 p.m.
Opening again in Spring.

Rumpke Landfill

StrubleRoad and Colerain Avenue, Colerain Township
January 8 and January 15, 2011, from noon until 3 p.m.
Opening again in Spring.
