CINCINNATI -- A local teacher is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a teen student in May.
Michael Johnson, a teacher at Cincinnati Public Schools' Dater High School, was arrested Monday and charged with sexual battery, according to court documents.
The student involved is enrolled at the same school.
Johnson was issued a $10,000 bond at his arraignment in Hamilton County Court Tuesday morning. At the arraignment, the defense argued the student was of legal age for consent, but the court countered, saying the teacher was in a position of power over the victim.
No other details about the incident were immediately available.
