BRIDGETOWN, Ohio -- A Bridgetown woman will have her dream of Oscar glitz and glam come true Sunday, when she sees stars walk the red carpet live from Los Angeles.
Jan Thompson usually watches the Oscars each year with her friends at an Oscar party here in town, but she entered an online contest from "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" - and won.
"One entry on the last day that the contest was going, I happened to stumble across it and enter," Thompson said.
She and her partner will have bleacher seats with a view of the red carpet, where each actor and actress shows off a tuxedo or gown, shoes and accessories styled for the most glamorous night in Hollywood.
"People don't ask me who I'm wearing, they ask what I'm wearing," Thompson said, laughing. "Business casual!"
She's been packing, getting ready for a night at the red carpet, a People Magazine party and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Monday.
"I would never, ever be able to experience the Oscars ... never," Thompson said. "So this is a once in a lifetime."
