Colerain man arrested for making explosive devices

CINCINNATI - A Colerain Township man was arrested for making and storing explosive devices inside home Tuesday night.

Thomas Fischer was arrested and charged for illegally manufacturing explosives and three counts of child endangerment after police discovered he had bomb making materials.

Police executed a search warrant for Fischer's residence in the 10600 block of Breedshill Drive after receiving a tip that his home contained explosive materials. Upon further investigation police found that Fisher was making explosive devices and storing them inside the home.

Police say the materials were a danger to the occupants of the home and neighbors.

At the time of his arrest, Fischer's wife and three children were present. Police say his family was moved to a safe location and neighbors were advised to evacuate while police cleared the residence of the dangerous materials.

Fischer is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center to await arraignment.
