MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Authorities were briefly in a standoff with one person at a home in Miami Township Monday evening.
The Clermont County SWAT team worked in the 6600 block of Branch Hill-Guinea Pike where crews received reports of gunshots fired. About a half-hour later, police said they found a man dead inside the home.
WCPO reporter Jason Law spoke to Det. Robert Bradford of the Miami Twp. Police Department, who said no hostages were held inside. Someone from inside the house called police, but Bradford was unsure who called and when the call came in.
"It's not really a neighborhood per say. There's not really anyone else who is in danger from where this is at," Bradford said.
Both ends of Branch Hill-Guinea Pike have reopened.
Police are not searching for suspects.
