Female motorcycle passenger dies in Clermont County crash

MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A female motorcycle passenger is dead after crashing at 8:19 p.m. Sunday on state Route 28 near Roman Drive.

Police say 61-year-old Terrance J. Willis, of Cincinnati, was traveling eastbound on Route 28 when he lost control of his 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle, throwing him and his passenger, 53-year-old Dona J. Day, of Middletown.

Day was transported by helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Day was pronounced deceased at the hospital early Monday morning as a result of her injuries.

Willis was also transported from the scene by helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.

Neither Willis nor Day was wearing a helmet or any other protective equipment at the time of the crash. Police said alcohol or drugs are believed to be a factor at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol – Batavia Post.
