Clermont County task force seizes 503 pounds of psychedelic mushrooms

MIAMI TWP., Ohio – A joint task force seized 503 pounds of mushrooms from a Clermont County home on Friday.

Aaron Gasper, 26, was charged with one count of illegal manufacturing of drugs after the Clermont County Narcotics Unit found a laboratory used to produce Psilocybin at 1317 Nicholas Drive. The Drug abuse Resistance Task Force of Hamilton County was also involved in the in the investigation that led ot the execution of a search warrant.

The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office estimates the street value of the Psilocybin, a psychedelic compound found in some mushrooms, seized at $805,000.

More charges are expected to be filed in the case. Additional suspects will face a Clermont County grand jury, according to the sheriff’s office.
