Felicity man stabbed by brother flown to UC Medical Center in stable condition

FELICITY, Ohio – As one brother was transported via helicopter to an area hospital, another was being transported to Clermont County Jail Wednesday.

Gary Nipper, 35, told Felicity police officers that his brother, Bobby Nipper, stabbed him in the back multiple time at his Felicity home.

Police say they received a call about the stabbing at 116 E. Walnut Street at 10:58 a.m.

En route to the scene Felicity police and Clermont County sheriff’s deputies say they stopped Bobby Nipper as he ran from the area.

Once on officers transported Bobby Nipper back to the Walnut Street home, they found Gary Nipper wounded and conscious.

It was then, Gary Nipper identified Bobby Nipper as his brother, and stated Bobby was the person who stabbed him.

Gary Nipper was transported by AirCare to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. On Wednesday afternoon he was listed in stable condition.

Bobby Nipper was taken to the Clermont County Jail and charged with felonious assault. He is scheduled to appear in Clermont County Municipal Court on Thursday at 10 a.m. for a bond hearing.

The case will also be reviewed by the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office for presentation to a grand jury.
