AMELIA,Ohio - The Ohio State Highway patrol is investigating a fatal single-car wreck that occurred early Saturday morning.

Investigators say 35-year-old Robert Eversole was driving a 2003 Kia on White Oak Road, south of State Route 125, at about 4:50 a.m. when he veered off the road and clipped several mailboxes.

The vehicle struck a culvert, went airborne and later hit a utility pole, according to a press release from the OHP.

Troopers say the driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Eversole was not wearing a seat belt, according to the press release.
