CINCINNATI - Metro showed off a new fleet of 10 blue buses Friday for its Metro*Plus route beginning Aug. 19.
Metro*Plus will provide limited-stop service between Kenwood, Uptown, Downtown and The Banks. Metro says it’s perfect for UC and Xavier students, Uptown hospital workers and anyone else who wants to get downtown in less time with fewer stops.
Plus, you can ride free during the first week of service Aug. 19-23.
The new weekday service will run every 15 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Metro held a brief ceremony Friday to dedicate the first Metro*Plus bus to William Mallory, Sr., in honor of his many years of service to public transit in Greater Cincinnati.
The public will have the chance to see a new Metro*Plus bus during Metro's 40th Anniversary Celebration on Fountain Square on Aug. 15.
