Child safety seat checks in Avondale on Saturday

CINCINNATI -- Curious if the car seat installed in the back seat of your vehicle is capable of saving of your child's life? You can find out for sure Saturday afternoon in Avondale.

The weekend event is a collaborative effort between Cincinnati Children's Hospital and safety seat manufacturer Evenflo. Officials from the organizations will conduct free car seat safety inspections at the Avondale Community Pride Center on Burnet Avenue from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The goal of the program is to help parents and caretakers learn how to keep little ones happy and safe on the road by properly installing child car seats, according to officials from Evenflo.
