Police reopen Memorial Parkway after vehicle hits woman in Bellevue

BELLVUE, Ky. -- Police shut down Memorial Parkway in Bellevue after a vehicle hit a woman.

The crash was first reported at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Memorial Parkway and Wilson Road. That’s just east I-471.

Police said the woman was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She is expected to survive but her condition has not been released.

The victim is from Alexandria and was staying with family members in the area, according to police.

Officers called for a crash reconstruction unit to come to the scene.

Police expected the traffic to remain backed up for several hours as investigators inspected the scene.

The driver involved in the crash gave a statement to police at the Bellevue police station.

There is no word on any potential charges.
