FORT THOMAS, Ky. -- The 16-year-old Fort Thomas girl missing for more than a week was found in the early overnight hours Sunday.
Edyn Nicole Palmer was last seen at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17 alone in the vicinity of Highland Hills Park wearing basketball shorts and a bright green tank top.
Palmer, a 5-feet-3-inches tall teen with brownish-red hair, brown eyes and weighing about 188 pounds, was believed to have run away from home. Family members said she takes medication daily and suffered from mental illness.
“This is way more complicated than just a simple runaway situation, this is a child with critical medical needs that require daily medication,” Palmer's mother, Kelly Culver, said.
Palmer returned home at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
