FORT THOMAS, Ky. -- The Northern Kentucky woman who was gunned down by her estranged husband inside her office building in August will interview with the Dr. Phil show Monday.
Alisha Waters Mathis, 31, was shot five times by Dennis Mathis , 32, on August 6 inside her workplace, Personal Touch Home Health Care, located on 20 North Grand Ave. in Fort Thomas.
Waters-Mathis was shot once in the leg, three times in the abdomen and once in the neck, severing her spinal cord.
Waters-Mathis survived her injuries but is now a quadriplegic.
She traveled to Atlanta earlier this week to receive treatment at Shepherd Hospital and will interview by phone with the Dr. Phil show Monday, Aug.14, according to her YouCaring.com page. .
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Dr. Phil’s wife, Robin, will speak to Alisha, her mother and her brother about falling victim to domestic violence.
No word yet on when the show with Waters-Mathis will air.
