Route 8 in Campbell County was closed briefly Monday morning as Duke Energy crews repaired a downed power line along the roadway.
Initially the downed line caused 2158 outages in Campbell County.
Sally Thelen, spokesperson for Duke Energy, said a company doing work in the area accidently knocked down the tree that hit the utility lines.
By 11:30 a.m. most power in Campbell County was restored.
The repair work took place between River and Water Works roads.
