DAYTON, Ky. -- Dozens of people are looking for answers after vandals have hit their cars. More than 30 people have complained on social media about their cars being keyed or worse.

9 On Your Side obtained surveillance video that shows a suspect slowly walking back and forth past the side of a car just before 4 a.m. Thursday.

Dayton resident Michael Hauser lives on 4th Street and says his silver Buick was targeted.

"Actually they said it was a knife - not a key - but a knife," Hauser said. "There is about a $1,000 worth of damage done, and I got to pay for it out of my own pocket."

Dayton Police said they could not comment on the investigation at this time.
