Bryan Russell, Chase Bank robbery suspect, arrested in at Northern Kentucky home

BELLEVUE, Ky. -- A suspect in a Northern Kentucky bank robbery is in custody after police found him hiding inside his home on Thursday.

Bryan Russell, 30, was arrested in connection with Wednesday night’s robbery of a Chase Bank location at 90 Riviera Dr. in Bellevue.

Officers said they recognized the Bellevue resident from a welfare check at his home a few months earlier and obtained a warrant to search his home. Evidence from the robbery was found during the search, according to a release from the Bellevue Police Department.

The following day an anonymous tip informed police that Russell was at his home. Newport and Bellevue police responded to the house and found the suspect hiding inside.

Russell was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree robbery.

Police say Russell had an active felony warrant at the time he was apprehended.

No other information is available.
