Bank of Kentucky robbed in Alexandria, police searching for suspect

ALEXANDRIA, Ky. -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Northern Kentucky bank Friday.

The robbery happened at about 2:20 p.m. at The Bank of Kentucky at 7612 Alexandria Pike in Alexandria.

Police said the suspect is a man in his 30s, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and about 200 pounds.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was dressed in a dark colored hoodie, sand-colored camouflage cargo pants, black and white gym shoes, a dark-colored cap with white writing and a flat bill, police said.

Authorities said he fled north on US 27 in a silver Pontiac Grand Prix after the robbery. His car was recovered at County Market grocery store about a half-mile away.

The man made off with an undetermined amount of cash and remains at large, according to a police report.

An investigation into the robbery continues.
