TRENTON, Ohio -- A man was taken to the Middletown Jail early Thursday morning, and faces pending charges of aggravated burglary and rape.

The 28-year-old suspect broke into a home on Cypress Avenue at about 3 a.m., reported Chief Arthur Scott of the Trenton Police Department.

Investigators said the man, once inside, threatened a woman with a knife before sexually assaulting her. The victim described her attacker on scene, and investigators arrested the suspect soon after.

He was identified as Timothy McGlothin, a Trenton resident.

There was no word on a bond for McGlothin, or when he would appear in court.
